Communication in Podiatry

Hi my name is Michael Khalil, and I am studying podiatry medicine. The purpose of this ePortfolio is to try to understand the process of communication in my profession, in order to communicate better with my fellow student, and in the future with my colleagues, other professionals and most importantly with the patients and clients. Communication with other professionals from different professions, will insure that the outcome of the team work will be perfectly coordinated and to the ultimate goal of the patient, as it will insure the best information exchange between all the team members, not only this but also the information exchange process between me and the patient, in order to build a suitable plan that suitable for the patient and his style of living.
Learning about communication in my line of profession is very crucial, because further than learning how to exchange information between myself and other professionals, as well as the patients a key factor is multicultural deference that exist either between myself and the other professionals or the patients, so learning how to communicate with different cultures and at different levels of intellectual understanding is very important for me to become a successful practitioner and member of my community, as this experience will help me in the process of receiving information as well as delivering the information through which I will build my reputation as good podiatrist.
